Privacy
PubCoDB is operated by Actually Pretty Useful Software, Ltd. Contact hello@pubcodb.com about privacy or your account.
Information we handle
We store your account name and email, sign-in and connected-client records, API-key verification records, watchlists, and usage records. Security and operational records can include IP addresses, user agents, request details, and errors. We also receive information you send to support.
When you connect an AI client, PubCoDB receives the tool requests that client sends to us. Those requests can include company identifiers, search terms, and filters. Connecting a client does not give PubCoDB access to your entire conversation.
How we use it
We use this information to sign you in, authorize requests, provide research results, maintain watchlists, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and answer support requests. We use cookies needed for account sessions and sign-in.
Service providers and connected clients
Cloudflare hosts the service and routes support email. Resend delivers sign-in emails. Research requests may contact the relevant filing provider to retrieve documents. Your connected AI client receives the results you request and handles them under its own policies.
If you purchase a paid plan, Stripe processes checkout and payment information. PubCoDB receives customer and subscription information to manage access; we do not receive your full card number. These providers may process information outside your country.
Retention and requests
We retain information needed to operate your account, secure the service, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. You can delete watchlists and revoke credentials in the service. For account deletion, access, or correction requests, email hello@pubcodb.com. We may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained after account closure.
